Here is the joining process:

  1. Visit a rehearsal, be voice-placed into a chorus part appropriate for your vocal range, work with a chorus "buddy" who will help you as you're going through the process, and sing with us for a few weeks as our guest.  Make sure we are a good fit for your interests and abilities.  While we do not do pass/fail auditions, we do want to ensure your success in singing and joining with us.  You may change parts if the current part isn't right for you.
  2. Once you're sure about making a commitment, you can join the Barbershop Harmony Society either on their website or by filling out an application and paying the current Society fees. Then, join our chapter of the Society.  (Currently, the fees approximately break down to an affordable $5 per week depending on your category.  Various arrangements of structuring fee payment are available to suit your finances. Please let us know if fees are a concern or a barrier.)
  3. Now, a member, work on (practice) your music between rehearsals so that you are making progress every week. Our directors will help you prioritize.  There is plenty of time to learn the music -- enjoy and take your time.  Dedicate 2-4 hours a week to personal practice, using our part-teaching vocal tracks as your guide.
That's it.  You're in!  Welcome to a great hobby filled with music and community!

We can make some great music, together!
